Case Study

Pelješac Bridge Project in Croatia

The project is located in the Bay of Mali Ston in the Adriatic Sea, where gusts of grade 6-8 winds are frequent, with maximum winds even up to grade 13. The sea is highly corrosive. These challenges raised relatively high requirements on the sensitivity, maneuverability, corrosion resistance, stability, and other aspects of hoisting machinery and monitoring systems used in the construction. The project adopted our multi-functional anti-collision system PM530-I, which met the project party's requirements that the hoisting machinery and monitoring systems used in the construction should pass the EU CE certification, TUV certification, and the safety inspection by the local third-party agency. The application deployment realized the anti-collision safety alarm for the coordinated operation of multiple tower cranes in a complex construction environment, as well as the functions of anti-collision alarm and area protection for multiple tower crane paths in the same construction area. It effectively helped tower crane operators avoid safety incidents caused by operating errors, and provided a safe construction environment for the project's successful implementation.
